Apple Cider Bourbon Punch

Bring Back Punch!
Punch is so festive and the tiny cups are so dang adorable.

Once upon a time, I bought a punch bowl like this one at a thrift store. It came with 12 cups. Later that same day, at another thrift store, I found a different bowl, but it had 12 of the same cups that go with my first one. So I happily had 1 punch bowl, that I love, with 24 cups.

When I downsized from New Jersey back to Cincinnati, somehow in the craziness, I accidentally got rid of BOTH punch bowls, but kept the cups.

A couple of years later, I found the EXACT SAME punch bowl, also with 12 cups. So now I have 1 amazing punch bowl and 36 cups!!

The moral of the story is this:
If you don't have a punch bowl, you can find one, usually for less than $15, at thrift stores. You won't be sorry.
​Apple Cider Bourbon Punch

Ingredients
1 Granny Smith apple, diced small
2 TBSP lemon juice
½ tsp cinnamon
4 C sparkling apple juice
1½ C apple cider
1½ C bourbon

Directions 
  1. In a small bowl, toss the diced apple with lemon juice and cinnamon. You can do this the day before and refrigerate.
  2. In a large pitcher or punch bowl, combine the juices and bourbon. Add the apples to the punch.
  3. Mix to combine and serve over ice.
